Spindle's story began in 2007, not as an outside tech company trying to disrupt laundry, but as a natural evolution from within the industry itself. As Dober, one of the leading chemical suppliers, we had been developing software for liquid feed systems since 1995. Through our presence at TRSA and UTSA trade events, we witnessed firsthand the frustration of laundry operators dealing with equipment vendors' disparate information systems.
The breakthrough came when we asked equipment manufacturers to share their data with us—since we didn't directly compete with them, they opened their data gates.
At the 2007 Clean Show, Dober formally launched Spindle, creating an entirely new product category in commercial laundries focused on collaboration and data sharing.
Our commitment remains absolute: to provide services and software designed by commercial laundry insiders for use only in commercial laundries.
